The last weekend in July the Greenbank Farm's annual festival returns with two days of wine tasting, music, art and crafts. Start with a half mile swim in Lone Lake on South Whidbey Island. Leaving Lone Lake on your bike, begin the 19.5 mile ride through paved county roads. The bike course is hilly with views of Saratoga Passage and the North Cascades. Finish with a 3.8 mile run on trails at Community Park and county roads. Chip timing. Scenic course. Friendly volunteers. Well organized. Great first triathlon. Race Start: 9:00 AM.

A fun day for the whole family held at Freeland Park. There will be three diversified bands - The Pickled Herring Band, Janie Cribbs, and the 3lb. Universe - offering music for all and dancing for the brave. Food booths, beer garden as well as quality crafts are available. There is a playground for the little ones. Bring lawn chairs, etc.
